Now I'm really sold on this Wave.

I really liked the Sabine TIEs, simply because I love TIEs and also it seeams to pointswise in a good spot... there aren't to many valid options in this 16-22 Points range... I don't think, that anyone would ever play a Rebel TIE-Swarm... I mean rebels can't even field Howlrunner.

The Upsilon-Shuttle looks cool, but it's really the thing I'm least exited about... it's a Lambda on steroids, does't really seem to bring something new to the table...

As for the Quadjumper: 6 Speed 1 Moneuvers.... either it just has aa Speed 1 K-Turn... or it flies in reverse... either way: Very intriguing.

U-Wing: Just on basis that the wing of the thing are moving I need it.... also the moving wings have a function... maybe a test run for an S-Foil-Dual-Card for the X-Wing?

TIE Striker: As Mentioned: I love TIEs... but only Agility 2? Feels Wrong man... But I'm really interested, what that 'TIE-Only' Modification does. Reads like 'Lightweight Frame' and it does something with defense dice...

Dude the Upsilon absolutely brings something new to the non-epic game of X-wing: Coordinate! I'm excited to tool around with it.

you mean: The Thing Squad Leader did since wave one? ;)

Not quite. A low PS Upsilon can give a higher PS Ace a free action with Coordinate. You can't boost your Ace early in the initiative order with Squad Leader.

Just put it on Vader with enhanced scopes and you can...

Yes, in that one very specific special circumstance Squad Leader can act as if it were Coordinate. Well done.

Why not just put Squad Leader and EI on this thing and have the ultimate action shuttle? Then again, if you want to go crazy, throw on Fleet Officer and Systems Officer. Actions out the tail pipe. 

That's not the point. The point is that Coordinate is a new and exciting edition to the non-epic game of X-wing (except it's not apparently because in one convoluted circumstance you can make one pilot with one specific loadout imitate it imperfectly).

I agree that it is exciting for the game as a whole, but I will be curious to see how well it integrates into standard play. Yes, there are the times when it could be a ship saver and game changer in some cases, me personally, I don't think I'll use coordinate all that much. Now, that may change over time and if I build a list around it, it may prove to be valuable but as of now, I think the ship is awesome and that it'll add a lot to the game but I', not sure how much it'll see use.

I'm actually more excited about Wave X than IX. Wave IX has interesting aspects, and I too am a completionist, but they seem like ships you buy for upgrade cards as opposed to the ships.

Collision Detector has been discussed by me and my X-Wing league multiple times, but on other ships like the Ghost. Vectored Thrusters is going to see the same thing, minimal love from the ship it came with. Even the Shadow Caster does this. It seems like the ship to have, but I am willing to bet we see the Cargo shoot used more on other ships, especially the new Falcon. The only one that legitamtely seems to be all about being a good ship is the Fang Fighter. That thing looks like a beast.

Wave X on the other hand, seems to have made the ships FOR the ships. The Quad was instantly hated by myself, but soon after I thought that it's cards, startegies and reverse manuevers were very interesting. The Upsilon is awesome, and hopefully will bring the flavor the Lambda currently lacks (IMO anyway). And Sabine's TIE is going to be just plane fun. I can't wait to fly it with the ghost. Have the entire Rebels crew in my squad.

U-Wing and TIE Striker look promising too. Actually innovative as opposed to just more of the same. This next year of X-Wing is going to be really interesting and fun!
